3 topics for today!
I'm a huge Pokemon fan. I have Pokemon gameboy games, I have the hacked Pokemon games for PSP, and we have all the in-stores mangas of Pokemon adventures. I love Pokemon! I’m even a subscriber to Youtube-rs who post Pokemon game strategies. I’m done playing with most of the games they’re running through, but I still like to watch the videos. :D It’s fun to watch other people play, you know!
Haha, but I feel like such a dork for being a big fan of Pokemon. Usually only nerds are excited when a new Pokemon game comes out. I want the Plantinum version! But it’s only for DS or something. I don’t think can find anymore new Gameboy SP games.
Right, why am I not happy that tomorrow’s Friday? There’s PGW tomorrow. Ugh, sure, I don’t mind M or S or RE, but I mind being the only girl in the group. Let’s recap on my schools.
Primary One, Two & half a year of Three: Townsville Primary School.
I was at my childish age. We make friends with everyone. No hatred going around. We don’t know what awkwardness or getting embarrassed is. Totally innocent, no blockage whatsoever among us.
Primary Three half a year, Four, Five, Six: Saint Anthony’s Canossian Primary School.
3 and a half years in an all girls school?! I was at my puberty age! I started watching sappy romance movies and started understanding the “deep relationship” between male and female. This is when “getting embarrassed” and “awkwardness” kicks in! & I had no contact with non-blood-related males. I had lived in a sanctuary of women and their sweet-smelling fragrance. I didn’t have the chance at all to get used to males during my most important stage – puberty, maturing, you know?
Secondary One & Two: Bedok South Secondary School.
3 Words. Maxed Out Panic. MOP. Oh, my God, my sweet-smelling sanctuary of women is destroyed! My paradise is infiltrated by foul-smelling sweat-soaked… well, beasts. You can’t expect me to get used to these guys with just a snap. I’m an innocent girl from a Catholic school. Have you never heard of how innocent Catholic schoolgirls are? Innocent and shy! More importantly, shy, that’s it. How many primary five and primary six all-girls-school students know guys not related to them? Not much! And I happen to be one of the “not much”. God, can you spare a thought for me?!
I’m complaining too much, what’s done can’t be changed, anyway. On to the next topic before I go to sleep.
In Shoujo mangas, the guys are usually the ones to fall in love with the girl first. & there’s this big-fat cliché – the guys like to play it cool and tease the girl and all that, making the girl hate him, before revealing his soft side. Shoujo mangas like to emphasize on how childish and angelic young love is. When you were younger and talking to your friends about boys, you should have come across this line, “You know, they say when a boy bully you, that means he likes you.” or something along that line. If you haven’t came across this line with your friends, I’m sure you’ve heard it from somewhere before, right? Well, that’s the theme Shoujo mangas circle around.
It’s also the biggest, fattest and most annoying cliché out there. That’s why some times, I hate reading shoujo mangas. The guy is always acting cool, as if he didn’t give a hoot about the girl, when actually he cared more than he should. Why can’t you just be honest and done with it, geez?! Oh, shoujo manags also like to show how gay guys can be too. That must be the reason why they aren’t straight-forward.
Blabbering too much, aye?
Jabbers too much,
Shalyn.
